This project was born out of a band called the Bends. The Bends were an instrumental rock band active from 2001-2003 who didn't name their songs. Instead, they just gave the songs numbers. As a joke the purposely didn't have a song called #5. When it came time to record an album, they HAD to have a track 5 on a cd. So the band asked me to make a silly, weird song to go in place of track 5 on the CD. So I made the song that is now "Forward Dropped You." In this song you can hear the Bends' percussionist saying "Dog Money" which was the title of the Bends album.

Anyways I enjoyed the song so much that I decided to continue creating songs in this style. The name Clean Mountain was a brand of laundry detergent that my mother once bought.

When I felt I had enough songs for an EP I called it "Bed, Bath and Betrayed" and gave out a handful of copies to friends. After that album I started working a full length called "Meat Signals." I finished Meat Signals and I asked several artist friends to draw cover art for the album. This never wound up coming together so the album never was really finished. A few years later I decided to release all of the recorded material and call it "Matters of Fondness and Regret" which i quickly turned into "Materra y Fondozzo and Reggie"

Tracks 1-15 are Meat Signals, and 16-23 are Bed, Bath and Betrayed.
